Coaching

Sooner or later in working life, most people experience that trying harder will not get them what they want.

You could have very ambitious plans and know that it takes more than you currently have to realize your ambition.

You could be slowly spiraling downwards, seeing a burnout approaching, when you realize that it takes a change to turn things around.

Or maybe all you know is that things need to evolve but don't know how or why.

In coaching sessions with me, we will explore this landscape to gradually make your working life (even) more meaningful and fulfilling. And, almost certainly, this effect will spill over to the other domains of your life.

Your company's competitive edge comes from people and the decisions they make. Your finest job is to select the right people, create an engaging environment in which they thrive and otherwise avoid making their lives difficult. I offer executive advice on exactly that.

Examples of work I have done with large multinational companies:

Post-merger organizational integration

Leadership team assessment

New leadership team formation

Executive reward design

Job leveling / pay grade review

Talent strategy

The companies that like to work with me, typically appreciate that I am creative, challenging and caring, and many use my broad background to get a holistic view on their people strategy or to connect reward with leadership for a fuller effect.

Leadership and reward

Kristian Aa Rasmussen

I started my working life as a seafarer, sailing around the world and meeting people of every kind. After some years as a general manager, learning how a profit and loss statement is composed of people and how they interact with each other, I turned to HR, where I have built a profession around my passion for people and worked my way to VP and SVP level positions.

A meaningful workday for me is one where my advice makes a real difference to real people

The acorn and sprout symbol

The acorn and oak sprout symbolizes my belief in human development:

How will this acorn develop, with the DNA and the life force which it has been given, in this soil ánd climate, during this time, if we remove all obstacles to its growth? How will this person develop if I help them remove obstacles? How can I help this organization remove obstacles for growth?

Cynics and Believers

Some people go to work as Believers: They believe in making a difference towards some ideal - perhaps making the world a better place in some way.

Others go to work as Cynics: They laugh at the Believer. 'Play or be played - it's a game!' Or perhaps: 'It's all about money in the end.'

I chose the name for my project because it contains at least two truths which are central to me:

1) All leaders and organizations need to find their way ahead using both of these attitudes without losing their authenticity

2) Success does not depend on being a Cynic or a Believer. Winning or losing is not a question of moral, it's a question of strength.

I will help you navigate the grey zones of life, leadership and organizations with strength and authenticity.
